Robert Munsch

Robert Munsch is a great author. I have read many of his books and it is a pleasure to read them over and over again. The latest one I have read is called  "Too Much Stuff!". It is about a girl who brings all her toys with her on an airplane. The toys turn out to help some kids who don't have toys. This is a fun story and anyone can enjoy it! One of the best stories I've ever heard!

Robert Munsch's inspiration for this story was
when he was on an airplane, and across from him
there was a mother with a daughter who was
unpacking an army of dolls. She placed them
around her, on the seat in front of her, and
she even hung some on the ceiling with tape!

Skating at Mill pond

Today I went skating with my class at Mill pond.
It was fun but tiring. I skated with my friends and teacher.
I played a game with a ball. It was like hockey but
like soccer because we used our feet. My teacher
declared boys against girls and it was hard. There was
only three girls versus all the boys in our class! My
friends and I were rough and we were pretty good.
It was too bad the other girls didn't join in our game.
I am glad we went skating!

Ruth Ohi

Last week, author Ruth Ohi came to my school.

She is the author and illustrator of 30 books including  "Chicken, Pig, Cow", "Clara and the Bossy", and "The Couch Was a Castle". She taught us how to draw characters. Ruth Ohi didn't know that she wanted to be an illustrator until university. Before that, she dreamed of being an astronaut, a teacher, a marine biologist, and a scientist. After she became an illustrator, she decided to write children's books. Ruth Ohi is one of my favorite authors!

This is how she made the book "Chicken, Pig, Cow". Ruth Ohi has two daughters. They made a chicken, a pig, a cow, and a horse out of plasticine. They also made a barn out of popsicle sticks for the plasticine models. Ruth Ohi decided to make a story about it. That's how "Chicken, Pig, Cow" came out.

Book Fair

Today at Pleasantville Public School, there was an awesome book fair with lots of good books  under 20 dollars. They also sold different kinds of stationary  like pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. It was so good that I bought two books and an eraser. There were books by authors like Daisy Meadows, and Robert Munch. There were also good series like Geronimo Stilton, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
I hope there will be another book fair soon!

It's so cold outside!

I feel that it is so cold outside. There is a lot of snow and the wind is blowing strongly.
If you want to feel warm, then you should probably wear snowpants, a jacket, a hat, gloves, a scarf, and proper winter boots. I wish summer would come quicker! Then it would be warm, not cold!

In the story, Wilma Tenderfoot is the apprentice detective of the most famous detective on Cooper Island, Mr.Theodore Goodman. Together, they solve mysteries.
